Color
Computer monitors and televisions use a picture tube composed of innumerable tiny dots of phosphorus. One third of each dot is assigned to glow red, green or blue, or any combination of the three. These dots glow when struck by an electron beam that scans across the inside of the tube. Our eyes optically mix these tiny bits of color, which can be combined to create an almost infinite variety of colors.
